Reviewing Palmers Cocoa Butter Shimmer Oil.
Palmers Cocoa Butter Shimmer Oil
I was so lucky to get a chance to test the new Palmers Cocoa Butter Shimmer oil by Superdrug. π
Kindly gifted by Superdrug
✨ This shimmer oil is branded in a way that would instantly catch your eye and looks like a good quality shimmer oil. However, I was slightly underwhelmed by this shimmer oil.
✨ At first pump, the oil looks like a luxurious, glittery gold liquid. The consistency is slightly thick, and it has the gorgeous, recognisable Palmers Cocoa Butter fragrance, which everyone loves.
✨ It has a very practical twist on and off the lid with a nozzle which controls the amount of product that comes out. The size of the bottle is very practical, too. It comes in a 150ml bottle, which is the perfect size to place in a small handbag and carry around with you. π
✨ The initial shimmer is stunning. The gold shimmer is very sparkly, and the oil adds a beautiful glow on top. However, this wears off very quickly. Because the oil absorbs so quickly into your skin, the glow doesn't last long at all. This is lost within minutes π
✨ The shimmer pieces are also slightly too big, and because of this, a lot of sparkle seems to come off very quickly. It would have benefited from finer glitter. The gold sparkle only stayed on my skin for around an hour; then, it just looked like the residue from glitter decorations on my skin. πΆ
✨ This is a good shimmer oil if you want the shimmer gone as soon as possible, but for me, the shimmer and glow didn't last long enough, and this was disappointing π
π The Good:
π€ Very absorbent
π€ Non-greasy
π€ Gorgeous fragrant
π€ You get the glowy, sparkly skin
π The bad:
π€ It loses shimmer, glow and radiance far too quickly.
