Reviewing Rimmel London, Oh My Gloss, Butter Me Up
Oh, My Gloss, Butter me up!
I recently had the opportunity to test the new Rimmel London, Oh My Gloss, Butter Me Up lip butter balm in colour 002 Bubblegum from Superdrug and here are my thoughts. π
πThe colour of the packaging is gorgeous, and it has a matte feel to the tube. I love the size of this product. It's approximately 12.5cm long, and the product size is 15ml. I always lose my lip balms, so the size is great for me.
π The product itself is a stunning bubblegum pink colour when it comes out. It's not as thick as a lipgloss but a lot thicker than a lip oil. I think the consistency of this product is perfect π₯°
π The applicator is such a gorgeous design. It looks very appealing, and it's clear, so you can see the product come out on every squeeze, which is such a fun novelty.
π As good as the applicator looks, I found it a little too big and found that the product went over my lip line on application, due to the size of the applicator. π The pink colour isn't very pigmented. The pink comes out very subtly on my lips.
π The product does have a fragrance. I wouldn't say it smelled like bubblegum; more fruity and a little artificial. I could taste the artificial fragrance, which was a little unpleasant.
π Even though I didn't like the smell, the product glided over my lips very smoothly, and it really kept my lips moisturised. It stayed on my lips for 2-3 hours, eating, drinking and chatting a lot, which is very good.
πΏ It's vegan and animal-friendly π°
π All the ingredients are listed on the back, and it's made in the UK π¬π§
π If you are a loyal Rimmel London customer, I would encourage you to give this new product a try, but as much as I love Rimmel, this wasn't my favourite Glossy Lip Balm.
Pros:
πGlossy and moisturising
πLovely pink colour
πLong tube, so it's easy to find
πGlides on smoothly
Cons:
πVery strong artificial fragrance
πThe applicator is too large
πThe colour pink is not very pigmented, but I think it's buildable
